KITCHEN REMODELING

Are you thinking about updating or replacing elements like cabinetry, countertops, and appliances to improve aesthetics, functionality, and overall layout, often with the goal of enhancing the kitchen's structure and design. Key steps include creating a budget and detailed plan, performing necessary demolition and rough-in work for plumbing and electrical systems, and finally installing new features like flooring, cabinets, and appliances to complete the transformation.

BATHROOM REMODELING

Deciding to update your en-suite or cloak room then it all starts with great planning (designing layout, choosing materials, and setting a budget), demolition of old fixtures, removal of old rubbish, rough-in work (plumbing and electrical), installation of new walls, floors, cabinetry, and fixtures like sinks, toilets, and showers, and finishing touches such as painting, lighting, accessories, and final decoration. Decorating & Painting

Decorating and painting services involve applying protective and decorative finishes, such as paint, stains, and wallpaper, to interior and exterior surfaces to enhance a building's appearance and protect it from the elements and wear. These services include surface preparation like cleaning, plastering, and removing old finishes, as well as the actual application of new paint or wallpaper, often with specialist tools for a professional result.

HOME ADDITIONS

Building a home extension or a new timber-framed room is a complex project that blends design, regulatory approval, and construction. Whether using traditional masonry or a sustainable timber frame, the process generally follows a structured path from initial ideas to final handover.

Timber Build vs. Traditional Masonry Differences

  • Speed: Timber frames are often built off-site and can be assembled in a few weeks, which is typically faster than bricklaying.

  • Airtightness: Timber frames are easier to make air-tight, offering better thermal efficiency.

  • Protection: Sole plates in a timber build must be kept dry and protected from moisture before the structure is placed.

EXTERIOR RENOVATIONS

Exterior home maintenance and renovations are crucial for protecting a property from weather damage, preventing structural issues like rot, and enhancing curb appeal. Key activities include regular inspection, cleaning, repairs of woodwork, and repainting every 5–10 years. Effective maintenance not only preserves the home's value but also acts as a barrier against damp and sun damage.

Painting acts as a crucial protective barrier, with wooden elements typically needing repainting every 3–7 years due to natural expansion and contraction.

Woodwork, including window frames, doors, sills, and fascia boards, requires careful attention due to its susceptibility to moisture.

FLOORING INSTALLATION

Flooring services involve subfloor preparation, including removing old flooring and ensuring the surface is level and clean. Leveling an uneven floor involves prepping the subfloor by cleaning and priming, then applying a polymer-modified self-leveling compound for concrete or using plywood, shims, and floor planers for wood subfloors.

The process then moves to installing underlayment for insulation and stability, followed by laying the new floor material itself, such as wood, carpet, or vinyl. Finally, the service includes trimming excess materials, cleaning up the area, and installing accessories like skirting boards.
